So Now The Time Comes

Well Well Well. I think it is time to update my life a lil bit. I get so stuck in the routine everyday that I just feel like a hamster running on my wheel. So pretty much nothing much has changed. I'm first counselor in relief society, I go to school all day sometimes til late at night and then the nights I'm not at school I go to work. So fun, right? haha. Good thing I love what I do! Right now I'm on all 4 teams at school, which include: Student Council, Design Team, Take Home Team, and Core Mentor. And most recently I have been accepted into Phase 2!! So just to clarify what all of that gibberish means, I suppose I shold explain. Student council is a team in school that does fundraisers because "Black is giving Back", well that's the motto at school. We basically do lots of service and get the Paul Mitchell name into the community and give back to all those in need. Currently we are doing Shop with a Cop, where children who don't get a Christmas are taken to shop at Kmart and get to eat McDonald's with the local cops. And we're doing some other with local charities. So that's that. Now for good old Design Team. Well this has got to be the most time consuming and amazing team! I put in at least 20-30 extra hours a week for this team. We get out in the community and the surrounding areas and do alot of quickstyling and show people what we are all about. For example, we recently went to an AndOne bball game and styled hair thruout the game. We also have mutual groups come in and teach them some easy ways to add to your hair, and we do plays and musicals, etc. We pretty much do it all! And more. lol. Take home Team is so fun too and I get some good extra hours as well. Basically what we are, are "product specialists" for the school. We learn in depth about hair products, how to run the pharmacy, etc. We also get the opportunity to do photo shoots!! It's so fun! I've learned a ton on this team in particular! As a Core Mentor, I get to work with the new students, we call "core". They are in core for 6 weeks and learn the basics of all we do. As a core mentor I get to assist the learning leader and help teach, etc. It's really neat to see progression! I love it. Lastly the Phase 2 is kind of a big deal. lol. but seriously. It is like an honors program at school. You have to have at least 1500 hours of schooling done, and several other requirements of which I will not mention. Let's just say you get to charge $13 for a haircut instead of $8. So that's gotta say something, right?! It's really like a salon feel because there are only allowed to be 12 people in Phase 2. I feel so lucky and blessed to have been interviewed and chosen to be on it! It's basically going to help me step up my technical skills!!! I'm pumped!

Anyways lately I have been able to attend a few concerts as well! I've seen Mury, Valencia, the Hush Sound, The Classic Crime, Bayside, The Spill Canvas, and soon to be the Aquabats!!! They aren't all really big bands, but I love it cuz they play at smaller venues and I get to meet them!! I feel so at one with things when I'm at a show! There's nothing like the feel of amazing live music blasting and dancing all around! It's totally my chill place!

Well that is pretty much my life! For real. I love it. The only thing I would change is that I would have more time to talk to my family and certain friends....I miss it!

Well the holidays are soon here, so that's good! Time for some catching up!

**If you would like to hear me talk about anything specific, lemme know! I can write about almost anything =) **

Also here's a few pics from some of the concerts!

I Believe

I Believe

I believe- That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I believe- That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in awhile and, you must forgive them for that.

I believe-That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe- That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe- That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe- That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them
I believe- That you can keep going long after you can't.

I believe- That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe- That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe-That regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and therehad better be something else to take its place.

I believe- That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe- That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe- That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time!

I believe- That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe- That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe- That just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I believe- That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe- That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe- That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe- That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe- That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other, And justbecause they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe- That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe- That two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I believe- That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe- That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I believe- That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe- That the people you care about most in life are the essence of life.Tell them today how much you love them and what they mean to you.

Scratch of the Vein

So here is what happened. I went to give plasma about a week ago and they stuck my left arm, but oxygen hit my blood so it was too thick. So they stuck my right arm and it was going good. Then during the first return of blood, they realized they had scratched my vein and so they had to infiltrate me (give all my blood back) and so it formed a lump of blood...and this bruise is the end result. Don't worry Ma and Pa...it's not as bad as it looks.

Catching UP.

So I definitely forgot my password to get on here...haha. Anyways, just thought I'd get on here to fill in what's been going on. Last week I was pretty sick which turned out to be just a bad virus...yet I couldn't even eat for 4 freakin days! That is no fun...I love food! O well I'm better now. Easter Sunday, my roomies and I made bbq ribs, mashed potatoes, beans, and jello pretzel salad for dinner and James and his roommate Jeff made strawberry pie...it was all so delicious. I also ate a lot of chocolate thanks to the wonderful package my mom sent! It was good. Apparently I am hungry or in love with food because that's all I've talked about so far. haha. Well other things have happened too. On Monday, I went to Salt Lake City with James, Chloe', Jenna, and Matt Cline to an Explosions in the Sky show! It was so amazing, they are way talented live, which seems to be rare now a days. They don't have lyrics to their songs, but it seriously was so relaxing and exciting at the same time! I loved it and it was just what I needed!

Yesterday I found out the best news EVER! Ging Yen got accepted into byui!!! I am so excited. It's like amazing and my prayers are answered because...well they just are =) So basically it made my day to hear that and I'm so proud of him for getting in! It'll be nice having my best friend here!

Today I put some blue in my hair. It looks freakin sweet! It's like a deep bright blue...if that makes any sense...if not I'll post a picture for sure...probably in this post. Anyways, I love my blue and I hope it stays for at least 3 weeks like it's supposed too!

So ya. That's my life in summary. I tried to leave out the repetitive stuff...like I woke up and brushed my teeth, went to school, etc. I do that all the time so it would most likely make you fall asleep...if you're not already falling asleep that is...whoever "you" is anyways! ;)

Well I'm out for now. Peace.

Just Smile =)

Where do I even begin? Really. Life never ceases to surprise me. Just when I think I've figured out one thing...BAM! Here comes something bigger and even more confusing. I never thought I would be hit with so much at one time, but I have come to find that I'm learning so much and turning to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ because of all that's going on. I mean I love that part, it's just sometimes it would be nice for something easy to happen for me. Then again a good challenge never harmed nobody...I think. So ya I'm rambling...so what. The good news is that I think I'm finally figuring a part of myself out. I know I'm 20, but that doesn't mean I know what I want completely. But life is life and things happen. One thing I've learned is that you really do need to choose friends carefully and need to be a careful friend. What I mean by that is obviously you can't judge a book by it's cover. People aren't always who they portray themselves as. People may let you believe one thing when really they mean another thing. Also, people blame you for things that aren't true sometimes. It's tricky. O and by being a careful friend, I mean that I slack in completely being a true friend. At least that's what I see it as. I mean I'm a very sincere person and would never deliberately to something mean or harmful to anyone let alone a good friend, but I just realized, through a rough experience, that no matter how close a friend you are to somone there is still a line that you don't cross. It's easy to forget, in all honesty, because you get so close and think you can trust someone and be completely honest with them, but it's not always the case if the other person is not on the same page of friendship as you. It's so hard to explain. But now that I've given it alot of thought, I will watch myself carefully not to step on toes.

Other than that lil story, I love Sunday's so much. If I didn't have them I would be sad. They are just so refreshing, care free, and my good reflection days! So good.

Anyways...man who knew I had so much to say. I'm trying to make life the best it can be each day (give or take a few-which are out of my control partly). So here comes another week. Bring it on!

Love is WHat briNgs Us toGether toDay <3

Sierra visited and it was way fun! We went to Jenna's basketball game and then we were gonna go bowling, but there was a long wait so we went over to the Rex (which has bowling, movie theater, arcade, etc) and we played ROCK BAND til curfew! It was so fun and pretty much made my life happier. Church was good on sunday and we ate a really good dinner and watched the movie No Reservations-it's cute. That night we went sledding and had a snowball fight-of course it was all sunday appropriate-no worries Mom and Dad =)

So then Monday and Tuesday I spent in Logan, Utah for a very happy occasion! Jennifer Starn is now officially Mrs./Sister Jennifer Shira! She's married! Another roomie down, so who's next? Haha! No, really tho, the wedding was really wonderful and she looked so beautiful! Weddings just make me think about my future and what it could possibly have in store for me. I like it. I also got to be with the whole Starn family and they are so great, they are like my second family and I love them! On the car ride to Logan Jenna, Chloe', and I made some music videos and it was hilarious to watch! Maybe I'll post one...we'll see. On the way home we got lost for like an hour because I-15 is not close to Logan so we had to figure out a new way to get to it. We went through Preston, Idaho and saw all the places where they filmed Napoleon Dynamite. it was pretty cool. Gy also called me on the way home, but Jenna and Chloe' were so loud and hyper that I had to call him back when I got to Rexburg, but he was asleep by the time I called him back. Ho Hum.

Anyways, I've been kinda down lately and I'm not completely sure why, but I'm just gonna keep my head held high and focus on what's going for me. That's usually what keeps me going.

How full is your gas tank, Really?

O my gosh I just have to say this...I was driving to go out to lunch at Bajio with some friends and my car was pretty much on empty and just as we were driving almost directly next to a chevron gas station my car started to decelerate really fastly....to 0mph...I was kinda nervous but surprisingly calm. I just kind of made a left turn glide into the gas station parking lot, but we didn't make it to the actual station , so my roomies had to get out and push the car to the the station. It was pretty hilarious. I must say that it has made my day. I have learned the very important lesson to always keep my tank at least half full or a quarter and no less. Who knows where that could have happened or if I could have caused an accident. That's all.

Super Di Dooper

Last night was so fun! My roomies Chloe', Jenna, and Lauren, plus old roomie Jes and next door neighbor Laura, and my brother James and his roomie Jeff played sardines in the Hart building. It was probably one of the funnest things I 've done in a while with a big group of people. I would have to say that Jes and I had the best hiding spot...nobody even knew where we were really. We rock!

I would have to say that today is great so far too..all I've done is get ready, clean my room, and now I'm watching the Office, the love of my life right now...haha.

Here's a quote for the day:

Michael: I am like Superman and everyone else is like the citizens of Gotham.

Dwight: That's Batman.

Michael: Ok...well then I'm Aquaman...ok. Where does he live, huh?

Jim: The ocean.

So good, huh?!

Well Sierra's coming to visit me today and stay for the weekend! It's gonna be a blast, I do so believe! Ok well I'll just leave with a song of the day. Let me think. Ok I know what it is for today.

TypicaL

So it's funny how I have nothing to write about today...it was just a typical good day, but nothing of importance really...I did get my hair colored. It looks really good too, 4 different tones of a mixture of reds and browns. Fun stuff!

Anyways, I asked the coolest roomie EVER, Chloe', what I should write about due to my lack of verbage, and she gave me a fantastic idea so here goes.

Did you ever notice how a black and white picture doesn't always look like it has much to it. Then, you look a lil closer and maybe a lil closer still....and BAM! It comes alive...tons of little details fly at you that maybe you wouldn't even see in a colored picture. It's pretty magical. You can really get to know a person or the history of a place thru a picture. What's that saying? "A picture is worth a thousand words" Well that's so true, but have you heard this saying? "A black and white picture is...worth more." Ponder that. So I think you should all take a closer look at black and white pictures and find those details that really show off the place it is taken, the history to it, and a person's physical attributes and even tells you some of their personality traits!

The Best Day in a While!

So here's the deal... today is great! Since it was such a great day I will tell you all that happened! I got to school early and I learned a lot about products and I colored some strands of hair to see what their results were....it was good. I also aced a test and then I learned some good techniques to round brush girls hair...which sounds easy, but really there's a trick to doing it really well. Anyways it was just good! I applied for a job at Maurice's and it sounds promising (knock on wood)! I also got to eat a Happy Meal from McDonald's which brought me back to my kiddie years which made me even happier because honestly, who doesn't wanna be a kid forever? I went to help at the stake humanitarian project but ended up talking to Kris-the sweetest chica ever-about her life and she was sick so I made her feel better? Ok I'm just justifying myself, but hey it really did make her feel better =) I came home and talked to my best friend Ging-Yen for a lil bit, who is absolutely amazing as always and then my good friend Matt came over for a haircut and we all just hung out for a lil bit. It was really nice and I liked it, it was good to just talk and be with friends. So now I'm blogging (I like this word) and I think it's a good outlet for me. Basically, I love life and things can only go up from here as far as I believe.

Well, I think I'll take Matt's advice and listen to Explosions in the Sky to fall asleep to...wish me luck!

My lil rant...

So, I was just sitting here thinking. I know thinking usually gets me nowhere, but I just wanna talk about something I've just decided on.

To do that I will tell a short story. Ok so this past valentine's day, a few days ago, I was at school and it was my turn to work at the front desk. Normally this just involves taking tickets back to the girls for their appointments, but since it was valentines day I also had to deliver flowers to all the girls with boyfriends, lovers, etc. Well, it was fun giving them to each girl and seeing their reactions, but it got me thinking...I want a guy who gives me flowers. I mean it's something small, but I think it would mean a lot to me (being as I haven't gotten since high school from a guy). It doesn't have to be a huge, elegant, boquet, just something small is fine. But I just think it can say alot to a person. I guess I had never thought about not getting them, and now that I have, it's what I want. It's romantic and cute. So, call me crazy but I like that I actually know what I want for once...it feels good even for something so silly and small.

Well, that's all I really wanted to rant about...

Peace out.

Yay Virtual Story-telling of Life!

So basically I just looked at my sister Heather and her husband Jason's blog and I decided to make one...again. I had one before on another site, but I stopped using it and have no idea where it was...silly me. So this will be fun! That's all for now! Happy Presidents Day =)
